Terms of Service
The rules of the relationship between you and Brújula Systems. Short enough to actually read; serious enough to actually mean it.
1. What the service is — and what it is not
Brújula Systems is an editorial probabilistic model: a system that tracks public, verifiable sources — prediction markets, papers, regulatory registers, macro indicators — and expresses the state of the world as living theses with explicit probabilities, accompanied by editorial analysis. By using the site or subscribing, you accept these terms.
This is not advice. Brújula is NOT financial, legal, or investment advice. The probabilities we publish are analytical instruments, not recommendations to buy, sell, hold, or act. They can be wrong, and sometimes will be. You retain full responsibility for every decision you make, with or without our numbers on your screen.
2. Tiers and trial
- Reader — free. Daily editorial, simplified state of the master theses, public calibration record. No card required.
- Compass — monthly subscription starting at $200 USD. Includes a 7-day free trial: no charge during the trial, and billing starts only when the trial ends. You can cancel at any time from the subscription panel; if you cancel during the trial, you pay nothing.
Prices are published on the site and may change; changes never apply retroactively to a billing period you already paid.
3. Billing, taxes, and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store card numbers. Applicable taxes depend on your jurisdiction and are added or included as required by law. Charges for the current billing period are non-refundable, except in the case of a billing error on our side — in which case we correct it and refund promptly. Canceling stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
4. Intellectual property
All editorial content — analysis, theses, probability histories, reports, the Brújula voice — is © Brújula Systems. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable license to read and use the content for your own decisions. You may quote brief excerpts with attribution. You may not redistribute, republish, or commercialize the content without written permission.
5. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Scrape the site or the API at scale, or circumvent rate limits.
- Resell, sublicense, or systematically redistribute the content, free or paid.
- Use the content or data to train machine-learning models of any kind.
- Share subscriber access credentials beyond your own use.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. If the violation is fixable, we will tell you first.
6. Warranties and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". We work hard on calibration and publish our track record, but we do not warrant that any forecast, probability, or analysis is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including decisions taken in reliance on the content.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. If you are a consumer in the European Union, nothing in these terms deprives you of the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence — those rights prevail where they conflict with this document.
8. Changes and contact
